CSMS Participating in Pennies for Patients Fundraising Campaign

On February 7, 2013

From Feb. 4th-Feb.22nd, CSMS will be participating in the Pennies for Patients fundraising campaign.  Our students will have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of blood cancer patients.  Our school will be one of 500 others across South Carolina in a service learning program that will be instrumental in raising funds for the lifesaving cancer research.  Students will be collecting change to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission:  to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.  Each student will be bringing home a parent letter and a collection box on Friday, Feb.1st.  Families can place spare change in the box and students will turn it in to their homeroom teachers.  We are having a competition between sixth, seventh, and eighth grades this year!  The winning grade level will get to hang a banner on their hallway proclaiming their victory!  The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society thanks you and your child in advance for helping patients with blood cancers.

Let’s come together and help defeat blood cancers ,Huskies!
